The Grave Robbers' Chronicles: Love Diary

(The early pairing with Wu Xie has a bad ending; the later pairing with Zhang Haike has a happy ending. Wu Xie’s happy ending appears only in an alternate timeline. The child belongs to Wu Xie, but won’t appear in the main story.)

Uses the setting of The Legend of Luo Xiaohei as a crossover, without involving its plot. The main storyline is set in The Grave Robbers' Chronicles, with plenty of everyday scenes and a brisk pace.

Tian Zhen is a little cat demon who decides to find herself a long-term meal ticket when she goes into heat. At first sight, she takes a fancy to the top hunk in the architecture department. It’s a perfect match for her field, so she immediately gets herself an exchange-student spot and goes to Zhejiang University to become his classmate. Being close by gives her the advantage. By the end of the year-long exchange, Wu Xie is already so smitten he can’t think of anything else. He extends his exchange in Hong Kong without asking first, then tells her afterward. He’s got plenty of tricks for winning his girl!

If Wu Xie had known that keeping it from Tian Zhen would mean losing her, he never would have gone tomb-raiding without telling her. All he has left is a newborn child, and he can’t even remember the child’s name or face.

Zhang Haike fell for Tian Zhen the first time he saw her. Yes, she knocked someone out with a steel pipe, chased them to the Zhang family grounds, and made plants burst wildly from the earth. Zhang Haike remembered her name: Tian Zhen!

Though his face was bruised and swollen, he was a little relieved. No one had realized he’d fallen for her at first sight. He had plenty of time to plan.

When Zhang Haike learned that Tian Zhen was with Wu Xie, he laughed, but patiently waited for his chance.

He approached Tian Zhen with a proposal and built a connection with her. Early on, he even had the mole by his eye put back. His face was just like Wu Xie’s, and yet not.

Zhang Haike: “I know you’re not faithful, but I don’t mind. If he’s the one you love, then I can be him too, because we’re no different. But I also want you to know that I’m not Wu Xie.”
