Please Call Me Sakura the Martial Goddess

A forty-year-old, pudgy Chinese man who had given up and chosen to lie flat somehow transmigrates into the six-year-old Sakura Haruno in the world of Naruto. He comes with a “trickster” System that gives him a guarantee of survival. To achieve his carefree life as a lazy fish, he grinds away under the System's “trickster” arrangements. But as he keeps at it, he gradually changes everything around him without even realizing it.

This is the life of a civilian ninja: the little details of everyday life, the wits and courage of battle, the bloodshed of the shinobi world, the scheming and backstabbing of politics, the power struggles of the elite, civilian ninja banding together for warmth, ordinary people helping one another, neighborhood gossip, friendship among ninja, romance among civilians, and family bonds. It is an urban novel set in something like the 1980s and 1990s, dressed up in shinobi clothing.

The author is a beginner and a Naruto fan. I started watching Naruto back when you had to call the TV station and pay to choose which episode they would air, and kept watching until what I consider a rather disappointing ending. It felt like the story started strong and ended weak.

Through Sakura Haruno's eyes, the author will weave the major and minor events and characters of the Naruto world into her daily life, studies, social life, and battles, as gently as spring rain nourishing the earth. Sakura is an ordinary person who becomes a civilian ninja with nothing to her name. I hope to create a shinobi world full of life, tears, and laughter, and draw readers into it as much as possible.

This is the author's first original novel. It's not only a hobby, but also the result of years of thoughts after watching the series. Readers who enjoy the story are encouraged to share their opinions. The author will listen with an open mind and make improvements.
