Lin Chen, a modern-day office drone, unexpectedly transmigrates into Zhu Yuanzhang, who is on the verge of starving to death from the start!
Ahead, Yuan soldiers burn, kill, and plunder. Behind him, corrupt officials squeeze the people at every level. Around him is a band of poor brothers so hungry their eyes are seeing stars.
But he has the history books of the next several centuries in his hands!
While others are still gnawing on tree bark, he uses first-aid knowledge to save lives and modern disease-control methods to steady people’s nerves. While others are still being sent to their deaths, he relies on his precise predictions of history to lead fierce generals like Xu Da and Chang Yuchun on an unstoppable run:
Fighting the Yuan army? He uses the terrain to set ambushes and teaches the enemy a lesson with firearms tactics!
Taking on Chen Youliang and Zhang Shicheng? He plans ahead and masters naval battles and sieges, leaving them completely at a loss!
After ascending the throne, he switches into “construction fanatic” and “anti-corruption crusader” mode:
He distributes farmland to households so the people can eat; reforms the bureaucracy and cracks down ruthlessly on corrupt officials; and establishes military households and the lijia system to keep a firm grip on the realm!
What heavenly mandate? For Lin Chen, **the people’s support is the mandate of heaven, and he decides his own fate**! See how a modern office worker turns the tables in ancient times and fights his way to establishing the vast Ming Empire!
