A boy whose world is gray meets a girl whose world bursts with color.
A socially anxious boy meets a “socially anxious” girl.
Lin Sizhe grew up after his parents divorced, hearing his mother tell him again and again that everything she did was for his own good. He'd long since forgotten what hobbies and interests even were. His parents' divorce made him mature early, and he saw how hard his mother had worked over the years, so he kept suppressing himself. At some point, the world in his eyes had turned gray.
Bai Mowei has the surname Bai, meaning “white,” but lives a life bursting with color. She enjoyed elementary and middle school, except when it came to doing homework. Perhaps she was simply gifted: she did well both in her studies and in her hobbies. She also seemed to have a few little secrets no one knew about.
(The author isn't good at writing heavy stories, so the tone is mostly goofy.)
