In the last years of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, undercurrents were surging in the dynasty. Scholar Xu Xiake originally thought that his life would be to measure famous mountains and record wonders. Until his father died of illness, leaving behind a strange travel diary and a bronze compass pointing to the southwest.
Stepping out of the study, he discovered that the real mountains and rivers were completely different from those recorded in the classics:
Under the sea of clouds in Huangshan Mountain, there is hidden the training ground of the ancient swordsman; in the reflection of the Li River, the magnificent paintings left by the painting saint are sealed; and every node of the earth guards the rare and exotic beasts that cry in the "Book of Mountains and Seas". ······When a strange and magnificent picture slowly unfolds, how will Xu Xiake add a rich and colorful stroke to the picture?
