The story is intertwined with two timelines. One line is about the youthful beauty, academic pressure, ignorant emotions and true friendship in high school; the other line is about the reunion in the urban workplace many years later, the complexity of the adult world, the resolution of old knots and new challenges. It focuses on describing how the youthful memory of "that year when the sun was just right" affects and shapes the present of the protagonists, and how they pursue their own piece of "sunshine" in reality.
