Li Nian, one of the five ancient gods of the Spirit Source, has lived alone on a snowy mountain for many years and never ventured out. Ming Zhi is the sword spirit of a sword forged from Nüwa’s stone. Missing for many years, she unexpectedly comes into being atop the snowy mountain.
The two first meet when Ming Zhi takes human form. Li Nian, who has not seen another person in all these years, is completely unmoved. Anyone else would have wanted to bind this divine weapon at once.
Li Nian watches the glow fade, leaving a graceful young woman behind. But the next second, he sends a wave of spiritual energy her way.
It’s because the woman has come out completely naked, without a stitch of clothing.
Ming Zhi looks down at her clothes, then trots over to Li Nian.
She gazes at him, full of curiosity.
“Who are you? My name is Ming Zhi. What’s yours?”
“Li Nian.”
“Li Nian? Can I call you A-Nian from now on?”
Li Nian neither agrees nor refuses. He just quietly watches Ming Zhi.
After that, the lonely snowy mountain gains its second resident.
As the years pass, Li Nian is no longer a lonely god. He has someone by his side.
