Cities are gleaming but temperatureless geometries, food is precisely synthesized nutrient blocks, and "humanoids" communicate silently through brain networks to complete various tasks efficiently. There is no family, no hugs, no admiration for the delicious food, no joy due to the breeze blowing on the face.
The "Birth" of the Five Foals. They are not the product of natural reproduction, but the result of an "abnormal project" in this civilization - the "Sensory Archeology Project". A group of scientists who are curious about the lost world are trying to analyze historical data and reverse engineer biological samples with complete senses, especially touch, to study why such inefficient phenomena of "emotion" and "experience" existed.
Five Foals was the only successful sample group in this program. They were implanted with enhanced tactile sensors based on ancient horse genes (corresponding to their respective specialties), and gained preliminary self-awareness.
They live in a sterile observation room, and although they can receive various simulated touch data, they long for real, uncontrollable contact. The collision of the horse was blocked by the energy wall; the sticky lanugo hair of the horse could not absorb any particles; Ma Lili's analysis report always read "simulated data, meaningless"; Ma Huhu's dream was judged by the system as a "system error"; Ma Panpan felt sad all day long because of the infinite nothingness around him. In their own unique way, they perceive the huge imperfections of this world.
