Record of the Primordial Dao Fruit

In Journey to the West, I fuse with the remnant soul of a heavenly soldier from the start.

I thought I was just some dead, insignificant extra. Who knew this remnant soul belonged to the poor sap Brother Monkey had beaten to death with a single blow five hundred years ago!

Then, the year Mount Five Elements collapsed, I saw with my own eyes the Great Sage, just freed, get slammed right back down by a gigantic golden palm!

Only then did I realize something was wrong with this version of Journey to the West. The White Dragon was dead, the pilgrims had vanished, and the immortals and Buddhas in the heavens seemed to be playing some grand game of their own.

Meanwhile, the incomplete Thirty-Six Heavenly Transformations within me were quietly awakening. From “Turning Creation Around” to “Reversing Yin and Yang,” every transformation I unlocked brought me one step closer to the truth of this world.

While everyone else wanted to be a piece on the board, I, a “dead heavenly soldier” who had crawled out of a gutter, wanted only to use these thirty-six transformations to ask the gods and Buddhas filling the skies:

Can I flip this damned board?
