In the fourth year of Shengping, more than a century had passed since the Rebellion of Yongjia.
The Central Plains had fallen, and barbarian dust blocked out the sun. Chang’an had become pastureland for foreign tribes, while the south clung to a precarious peace. The great clans fought among themselves, and all that remained of the Jin court was a feeble shell, sustained by empty talk.
Liu Zhiyuan, whose soul had transmigrated from the modern age, came back to life in a mass grave and became Xie Yuan, an illegitimate son of the Xie clan of Chen Commandery, born on a double fifth day and despised by his family. Though he possessed a System, he refused to cooperate with it.
With no choice but to find his own way out of despair, he would astonish the great clans with his poetry, awe the armies with his horsemanship and archery, and carve a path of blood and iron toward a northern expedition through a Jiangzuo where empty talk had brought the nation to ruin.
But he soon discovered that he wasn’t the only visitor from another world on this chaotic chessboard. In the palaces of Former Qin, a transmigrator helped shape plans for unification. In the camp of Former Yan, a mighty general from another world conquered new territory. Deep within the palace at Jiankang, a princess with another soul held the script and stirred up the winds of change. In taverns and markets, a transmigrated chef built an intelligence network through the bustle of everyday life. Visitors from other worlds, each with their own extraordinary abilities, vied for dominion and fought for the Mandate of Heaven.
Only when Xie Yuan stood astride his horse with his spear raised by the river did he see that the old Jin dynasty had long been rotten to the core. He had never wanted merely to reclaim half a realm of broken mountains and rivers, or to revive the dying Jin dynasty of the Sima clan.
He would build upon the Xie clan, gather the mighty Northern Commandery Army, break the century-old shackles of the great clans, reform the deep-rooted ills of Jiangzuo, and end the fires of war among the Sixteen Kingdoms. Upon this scorched earth, he would forge a new world where the people stood united and peace prevailed beneath the four seas!
The previous plot was a bit unreadable, but since I landed on the island, I started to enjoy it.
Nice. The more I look at it, the more I look up to it
Single heroine? Is it Wang Yuanying?
It's well written. I almost finished it halfway through but I stopped reading it. I went back to reading it after reading it. It's very interesting.
Wonderful, wonderful, the plot is so attractive, the content in the book is all fine chaff 🤤🤤🤤
The characters are vivid, each one has flesh and blood, and people have already fallen into it, so I won't talk anymore and continue reading.
More people should read this book, it's so invincible and beautiful.
I really like this type of novel. The plot is too good. Please support me.
It's very beautiful, especially the back, it's so touching.
It's a very good book. The author must work hard, and there must be more, more, more, more...
