Lin Feng wakes up to find he's been handed a one-way ticket to a deserted island, untouched by pollution and completely natural (not really), with a survival starter pack included.
A broken stone axe to start with, and everything else has to be earned… A wild boar? More like the wild boar's going to beat him up!
Wasn't this supposed to be a feel-good farming story? Why does Old Wang next door (the tiger) bring his gang of bandits over every day to freeload (steal) his food? And what's with all those giant mantis shrimp wearing blue “forgive and forget” armor? Did this island become a nest for mutant creatures or something?!
Then he finds a secondhand black compass, in almost-new condition (probably).
Besides pointing north, the thing moonlights as a fortune-teller and buzzes at him every day: “Hey there, we'd recommend heading west right away to get yourself de… I mean, go exploring!”
To avoid becoming a wild animal's takeout, Lin Feng can only start a business with tears in his eyes.
Recruiting teammates: a lovable warrior whose only attack is shouting (Zhang Tao), a healer who specializes in bandaging wounds (Li Na), and a mascot who lies flat from the start (Zhao Ming).
Team KPIs: chop wood! Mine ore! Find batteries (energy cores) for that busted compass! And, while fending off the double assault of the mantis shrimp and Old Wang, upgrade the thatched hut into a five-star deathtrap (now with extra traps)!
Will they succeed?
Can they finish the compass's “suicide mission” quests on time?
Can they uncover the truth that this island is actually a massive immersive theme park from a prehistoric civilization (now defunct)?
And most importantly, will they get to eat grilled fish tonight instead of getting grilled by the fish?
