Transmigration + two heroines + period setting
Before Zhao YuanChao transmigrated, he was named Zhao YuanChao because his grandfather had fought in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. After transmigrating, he still became a military medic named Zhao YuanChao, who had been born while his father was serving in that same war.
Before transmigrating, Zhao YuanChao served in the military for five years. After leaving the army, he discovered that his girlfriend had gone off with a rich second-generation heir. He got back the money he had spent on her, but there was no getting back the feelings he’d invested.
Having lost the girlfriend he’d cherished, Zhao YuanChao began traveling and later became obsessed with exploration.
During an expedition in Shennongjia, he found a treasure. He thought it was a stroke of good fortune, but it ended up costing him his life.
To his surprise, he transmigrated to 1969, during the Sino-Soviet conflict on Zhenbao Island, and was being resuscitated in a hospital bed.
The original Zhao YuanChao must have died, which was how he ended up transmigrating into his body.
The original had been quite unlucky. The field hospital was set up in a village and was hit by a Soviet M-21 Grad rocket launcher, which cost him his life.
After transmigrating, Zhao YuanChao inherited the original’s memories and learned that he had no parents. He had studied medicine and enlisted because his parents had fallen ill and there was no money to treat them. Before dying, he had hoped to study medicine so he could save lives in the future.
Zhao YuanChao spent more than a year in the hospital before he was finally out of danger.
Because his injuries were so severe, he had no choice but to leave the military on medical grounds after being discharged.
Zhao YuanChao himself had only recently enlisted and was just an ordinary medic. He knew that even if he accepted a job placement after leaving the military, it wouldn’t be a good one, so he turned it down and planned to return to his hometown, get married, and live a quiet life. Unexpectedly, he met a beautiful educated youth who could also help him cultivate using the opportunity he had obtained before transmigrating.
Recently, I like to read periodicals. Although I am born in the 1980s and was not born in that era, my parents came from that era. The introduction of the era in many books has a feeling of being integrated into the book, as if I also lived in that era and experienced the things of that era.
