Xie Lingxi, a top cultural relic restorer, was forced to leave the Palace Museum and return to his hometown of Binhai City due to hearing loss in an accident. While tidying up the ancient bungalow left by her mother, she discovered a copy of "Porcelain Language" written by her grandmother among the books piled at the foot of the wall, which guided her to the "Sui Porcelain Workshop", a community porcelain workshop on the verge of closing in the city.
In order to save this workshop that carries the memory of the city, Xie Lingxi collaborated with the eccentric ceramic artist Li Chen, but when he restored a piece of pastel porcelain from the Republic of China, he was involved in a grudge that spanned three generations: her grandmother was a legendary female porcelain maker in Jingdezhen, and Li Chen's grandfather was the businessman with whom her cooperation broke down. When the modern commercial development crisis approaches, the two must find a balance between tradition and innovation to bring the lost technique of "glazed stars" to light again.
