In search of his missing mentor, biologist Lin Ye broke into Qingwu Ridge in western Hunan with half a strange notebook. There is only one line on the title page of the note: "The python has woken up and the altar is bleeding."
As soon as she arrived at Coiling Snake Village, she witnessed the villagers carrying the broken raincoat of the missing hunter. The amber mucus on it was completely consistent with the record of the "green-scaled python" in her notes. The village guide Agui warned her: "Don't touch the mountain spirit's things, or you will get entangled."
After going deep into the rainforest, Lin Ye also discovered the mentor's experiment number plate and the figure of an undercover agent in the mine collecting snake scales. As the investigation deepens, a truth spanning ancient legends and crazy experiments gradually emerges: black mining pollutes the environment and stimulates the giant python guarding the altar; and the "biological agent" developed by the mentor has made the giant python extremely violent.
Is that 100-meter giant python that spits out words and has eyes like lanterns the ancient holy spirit that protects the ecology, or is it a terrifying monster spawned by human greed?
When the altar's corruption spreads and the python's shadow envelopes the village, Lin Ye must make a choice between finding his relatives, exposing the mine's conspiracy, and saving this cursed forest. Because what she saw in the python's cold vertical pupils was not pure murderous intent, but... Despair.
