Sequence Doomsday: My Road Knows No Mercy

The blood moon hung overhead, and the uncanny returned.

Against twisted shadows, firearms were reduced to scrap metal. Wherever crowds gathered became an entrance to hell. Humanity was forced to abandon civilization and cling to survival in the wasteland, relying on convoys of steel as their vessels.

When Lin Fan awoke, he discovered he had become the lowest-ranking refugee in the Hope Convoy. Every day, he ate moldy biscuits and drank filthy muddy water, struggling to survive amid uncanny whispers and the cold stares of his fellow humans.

Until he realized he was different from everyone else.

His eyes could see “marks” invisible to ordinary people: the contamination left behind by the uncanny, and... the remnants of power.

A cold voice in his mind could scan for danger and even forge those ominous “materials” into “uncanny objects” that ordinary people feared.

A blood-rusted dagger tore through shadows; a corroded arrow eroded life.

Each uncanny object had to be forged with “experience,” and experience came from killing, whether the victims were twisted uncanny creatures or... fellow humans with malicious intent.

While the other survivors huddled together for warmth in the convoy, talking about humanity and hope, Lin Fan silently sharpened his blades.

His morality and compassion had long ago been buried deep in the ruins, alongside the splendor of the old world.

His logic was simple:

Uncanny materials + experience from killing = stronger uncanny objects.

Stronger uncanny objects + more killing = survive, and live better
