But Wang Sheng shakes his head and says something that leaves everyone stunned.
"Professor, I give up."
"W-what?!" Professor Oak's glasses nearly slip off. "Give up? This is the most important step in becoming a Trainer!"
"Hahaha, what did I just hear? He actually gave up!" Xiao Mao laughs so hard he doubles over. "This guy must be crazy! If you don't dare become a Trainer, just say so!"
Wang Sheng ignores the commotion around him, because he's the only one who can see the System panel before his eyes.

Later, deep in the valley, Wang Sheng finds a silver-haired girl lying unconscious in the middle of a huge explosion crater.
