As the Han dynasty crumbles and the land descends into chaos, Shi Li transmigrates into this world and joins Liu Bei's ranks, armed with modern knowledge and martial skills. Cao Cao sees Liu Bei as a thorn in his side and continually undermines him, placing one obstacle after another in Shi Li's path. Shi Li faces the daunting task of helping Liu Bei overcome the odds and unify the land within a limited time. Along the way, his shortcomings and emotional vulnerabilities make battle decisions and managing internal relationships difficult. The scarcity of resources and rigid social hierarchy of ancient times also limit his progress. Caught in power struggles, he faces painful choices between self-interest and conviction, and misunderstandings trigger a crisis of trust within his own ranks. But with wisdom and determination, Shi Li repeatedly turns the crises around. Yet when he finally helps Liu Bei unify the land, he discovers that victory has come at the cost of compromising his own moral principles.
