You call this surviving the apocalypse?
After being reborn, I bound myself to an apocalypse System, but it glitched! It activated a year early and mistook a paradise on Earth for a wasteland hellscape.
System: [Find food in the radiation zone!]
I quietly open a food delivery app. “Boss, send me ten Boston lobsters.”
System: [Reinforce the walls to fend off mutant beasts!]
I make a call. “Hello, construction crew? Right, I want half a meter of reinforced concrete poured for the walls, the kind they use in bank vaults.”
System: [Recruit survivors!]
I look at the retired special forces veterans and genius PhD I hired for handsome salaries, lost in thought.
The whole world thinks I’m a lunatic who got rich overnight and developed delusions, but they don’t know I’m using this glitching System to unlock future technology at breakneck speed, stockpile massive resources, and build an apocalypse fortress even gods and demons can’t breach!
They laugh at me for being mad. I laugh at them for not seeing the truth.
When the real apocalypse arrives a year from now, the whole world will understand that my “delusions” are their only salvation.
Besides showing off, I still show off, it gives me a headache.
