Introduction to the story "Lilacs Bloom at the Wrong Season"
"Lilacs Bloom at the Wrong Season" is set in Beijing in late spring and tells the story of the fateful turn of the orphan girl Lilac. After her parents passed away, she managed to make ends meet by selling herbal medicine in a small pharmacy in the south of the city. She had a quiet temper but hid her tenacity.
In order to save the lives of the whole family, the Chu family abducted Ding Xiang because she was very similar to the Miss Chu family, and asked her to replace the Miss Chu family who was originally scheduled to marry Prince Jing and become the "fake princess". Before entering the palace, the Chu family's aunt strictly ordered her to speak less, pretend to be stupid, and hide her flaws.
On the wedding night, Prince Jing Xiao Che's indifference and sharp eyes made Ding Xiang feel uneasy. Xiao Che used Miss Chu's skills to test, but Ding Xiang's flaws were exposed because she only knew how to identify herbs and perform superficial bandaging. Fortunately, Xiao Che did not investigate further and only asked her to guard the courtyard of the palace from now on. The story revolves around Ding Xiang's survival in Prince Jing's Mansion as a substitute, hiding the crisis of identity exposure and the unknown emotional direction.
