A lone wolf in the bitter night, with mortal bones that will not yield.
The young Gu Chen was born into obscurity and raised amid abuse. Branded a "harbinger of disaster," he struggled to survive in a world of coldness and humiliation.
A mysterious black bone was his only keepsake of his origins, and the source of endless pain.
Until his closest loved ones were brutally killed and blood stained the bone fragment. In his despair, he heard his own bones shatter
"Shatter your bones to forge a path, and slay the heavens."
From then on, he set foot on a forbidden path, defying fate itself.
Devouring all things and reforging his shattered bones, he tempered his flesh and will with every breakthrough.
From the small city of Cold Abyss to the Land of Sinblood, from the Cangling sect to the Nine Heavens Starfield, he made his body a blade, shattered the chains of fate, and faced the might of the gods.
The world called him the "Defier of Fate," while the Heavenly Dao saw him as a "seed of rebellion."
But Gu Chen believed only this:
My fate is mine to decide, not Heaven's!
This is a path to slay the heavens, paved with blood and bone, and the final declaration of war against fate by a mortal.
"Shattered Bones, Defying Fate on the Path to Slay the Heavens":
If fate is unjust, then shatter the heavens!
If mortal bones are shackles, then defy fate!
