In the 10th year of Zhenguan, Lu Li, a Sogdian household in the suburbs of Chang'an, was on the verge of death. He bound to the "Prosperous Tang Anju System" and struggled to survive with improved crops and livelihood skills; Xianbei general Yuchi Lie fell into the street and encountered the "Zhaowu Breaking Formation System", relying on force to fight back and regain his blood. The two became connected because of their "Hu" identities. One was in charge of building people's livelihood, and the other was in military achievements. From guarding vegetable fields and opening up trade routes, to guarding the border with the army and cracking down on the court's trap, the two systems worked together and complemented each other. They eventually became the "Twin Pillars of the Prosperity" that Li Shimin relied on. They used the wisdom of commoners to prosper agriculture and the courage of generals to appease the border, and jointly built the foundation of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
