After I Sent Only Five-Nut Mooncakes for Mid-Autumn Festival, My Mom Went Crazy

On Mid-Autumn Festival, I went home to have dinner with my mom, only to hear her complaining to my aunt.

“Shuran really doesn’t understand me. Every year, the mooncakes she gives me are either egg yolk and lotus seed paste or Hami melon flavored.”

“Come on, they’re so cloyingly sweet. If you eat too many, they give you acid reflux. Who’d want to eat those?”

“My younger daughter knows me best. She gives me my favorite five-nut mooncakes every year.”

When my aunt saw me come in, she awkwardly tried to signal my mom with her eyes.

My mom didn’t notice and kept going. “Tell me, is Shuran blind? How can she not see that five-nut mooncakes are the only ones I like?”

My aunt had no choice but to call out, “Shuran’s home.”
