The Proud Legitimate Daughter Shows No Mercy in Her Household Battles

Su Qingyuan is the legitimate daughter of the Su family, born with a haughty streak, but she has terrible luck with people. Her fiancé, Gu Jingchen, seems gentle and refined, but he is really after the Su family fortune. Her best friend, Liu Ruyan, acts close to her, yet is always stabbing her in the back. When Su Qingyuan catches the two of them together, she promptly breaks off the engagement, only to be struck by a golden finger: the family’s ancestral shop ledger, which holds the key to the family’s rise. On her way out of the engagement, she crosses paths with Lu Zhaoyan, a stone-faced general who seems aloof but quietly has her back whenever she takes down a scoundrel. When her ex, Gu Jingchen, tries to win her pity by claiming he has it worse, Su Qingyuan sneers, “Worse off? You don’t even qualify!” With the ledger in hand and Lu Zhaoyan secretly supporting her, she plans her every move, tramples the wicked man and his treacherous accomplice underfoot, and becomes the brightest star in the capital.
