Murong Zhanzheng, a zombie from the Northern Song Dynasty, wakes up in a modern urban village after sleeping for a thousand years. He is full of ignorance about modern things such as neon lights and shared bicycles. He accidentally meets Lin Xiaodao, a half-hearted Taoist priest. Lin Xiaodao initially mistook her as an evil ghost and wanted to get rid of her, but when they get along with each other, he discovers that although she is a zombie, she has no ill intentions. The two went from being in opposition to being forced to live together, which opened up Murong Zhanzheng's funny daily life of adapting to modern life. This is the first scene of the story and the starting point of their bond.
