From the Start, I Was Sent Flying, and My Cards Became Real!

(Dystopian + Dark Comedy + Theological Power Struggles + Undercover Espionage!)

In this wasteland, where people have to please the gods every day just to survive, humanity has twisted itself into the shapes the gods love most in order to resist disaster.

To gain even the tiniest bit of power, some people burn themselves into charred husks, while others turn themselves into rusted gears that grind without feeling.

Iron-skinned people covered in gears, bloodthirsty demons lost in slaughter, liars who do nothing but flatter and put on a show.

The stronger the gods become, the more human beings resemble demons.

That is, until Lin Yue, a stranger from another land, arrives.

In front of the fanatics, he charges with bloodshot eyes like a mad dog. Then he turns around, puts on a suit, and talks his way into swindling the black market out of everything it owns.

The gods think he is a rare and valuable believer, while the various factions think he is a useful double agent.

Until one day, a godless city rises at the heart of the wasteland.

"A true city belonging to humanity doesn't need gods meddling in its affairs."

The cannons of the twelve Star Cities aim at this heretical city. Lin Yue sighs from his throne.

"If none of you want to be decent gods, then all of you can come down from the heavens."
