The Age of Origin Beasts

Year 117 of the New Era, more than a century has passed since the global event known as the Great Awakening.

Human civilization once placed its faith in technology and the laws of physics, until the day an invisible tide of energy swept across every corner of the planet. It was not a destruction, but a gift, or perhaps a complete baptism. In the atmosphere, beneath the earth, and even within living beings, an unprecedented energy became active, perceptible, and even something that could be guided and harnessed.

People named it Source Power.

Countless plants and animals underwent unimaginable evolution and mutation as Source Power suffused them. They grew larger, swifter, and more intelligent. More importantly, they could absorb, store, and use Source Power by nature, displaying all kinds of incredible abilities: breathing fire, controlling water, commanding lightning, blending into shadows, and even influencing minds...

These beings, now endowed with Source Power and transformed with a variety of forms and abilities, came to be known collectively as Source Beasts.

As time passed, however, a turning point arrived. Some humans discovered that they, too, seemed to have undergone subtle changes because of the Source Power tide. A very small number of people could naturally sense the flow of Source Power, however vaguely. They were called Source-Sensitives. Through continued research and cultivation, Source-Sensitives gradually learned to guide Source Power to strengthen themselves and even imitate Source Beasts, converting Source Power into tangible forms of energy for attack or defense.

These people were the first Source Martial Artists.
