Seeking the Dao in Hongmeng: Primordial Beginning

Su Ran, a collateral descendant of the Su family of Qingyang in the Spirit Illusion Continent, is born with a mixed spirit root and branded a "crippled spirit-root body." For years, the main branch looks down on and bullies him. During a dangerous herb-gathering expedition, he falls into Fallen Immortal Valley and unexpectedly obtains the Chaos Spirit Art, a legacy left by an ancient mighty figure. His cultivation surges to the fifth level of the Qi Guiding Stage, but the unusual technique arouses suspicion within the family, and he is ultimately cast out of the Su clan.

With his spirit pet, the Spiritstream Beast, Su Ran ventures into Qingyang City and joins forces with Lin Yao, a young rogue cultivator. They make a living by taking on missions. But the Su family refuses to let the matter rest: Elder Su Kun leads a group in pursuit, intent on seizing the secret manual. The two join forces to fight back and barely survive. They then resolve to leave Qingyang City. From then on, they rely on the Chaos Spirit Art to grow stronger in a cultivation world fraught with danger, fight injustice, protect each other, uncover the secrets of the technique, and gradually carve out a world of their own.
