The story takes place in a remote mountain village with inconvenient transportation and little communication with the outside world. Most of the young people in the village go out to work in order to make a living, and those left behind are mainly the elderly, women and children. There are strong traditional customs and superstitious concepts here, and the villagers are both afraid and awe of supernatural events. The village is surrounded by mountains, forests and farmland. There is an abandoned ancient house and an old ancestral hall outside the village. There are many hidden things in these places.
