A collection of short stories full of sweetness, angst, and cathartic payback. The first story is nearly 30,000 words, while the rest are just over 10,000 words each.
Story One:
I found Fu Suian in the back hills, covered in blood.
The first thing he said when he woke up was:
“I feel like I've seen you somewhere before.”
The female doctor beside us couldn't take it anymore:
“That's a pretty lame pickup line!”
When we parted, I gave him a little pouch:
“May the years pass peacefully, and may every year bring you safety.”
Ten years later, I found him again and brought him back to Buli Village.
He asked me the same thing:
“Have we met somewhere before?”
Story Two:
I caught my boyfriend in bed with a prostitute.
I sat in the cold wind and cried my eyes out.
A beautiful older girl handed me a tissue.
Just then, comments began floating above her head.
[Baby heroine, stay away from her. She's a bad woman.]
[Sweetie, don't listen to her. She's the wicked supporting character. The male lead will be here any minute.]
[Su Ling is rotten to the core. Don't let her hurt the heroine. Shoo, shoo, shoo.]
Ha, you think you can fool me?
What male lead? He's obviously a brooding creep.
Story Three:
After transmigrating into an angst novel, I treated the male lead like a Japanese invader.
First, I used him to make money and build my career.
Then I cheated on him.
Finally, I shattered his mental defenses:
“The child Ye Tong is carrying isn't yours at all. You're nothing but her ATM!”
(The stories to come are just as exciting.)
