Diary of a Clown

The first-person perspective of this article is really immersive. When I read it, I always felt like I was entering the foggy city of Eternal Night Theater. The dual personalities of Tian Ming and Joker are very interesting to me. One is calm and calculates the overall situation, while the other is crazy and decides with playing cards. The contrast between the two is very full and does not seem to be separated.

When I read it, I always felt like I was watching a "dark drama". Tian Ming is the director, the clown is the starring role, the Evernight Theater is the stage, and the sinner is the actor. This metaphor is particularly strong. The setting of the dual personality is not for curiosity, but to serve the theme of "trial". Tianming's reason ensures that the trial does not deviate from the direction, and the clown's madness makes the verdict more impactful. When the two are combined, the theme of "dark justice" suddenly stands out.

The dual personalities are also carefully created. The Joker's "crazy" is logical, while Tian Ming's "cold" is warm. For example, Tian Ming will cover up the scene after the trial to avoid unnecessary trouble, while the Joker is obsessed with "artistic judgment." This difference makes the two people's images more three-dimensional. There is also the setting of "Eternal Night Theater". Only the tip of the iceberg has been exposed so far, but it has already made people curious about the rules behind it. This "sense of blank space" is very attractive and will keep following it.

The foreshadowing in the plot is also very interesting, such as the rules of the Evernight Theater, the anomalies of the Ripper, and the consumption of the Eye of True Sight. Every detail may become a subsequent turning point. The suspenseful atmosphere of Fog City is also very good. When reading, I always pay attention to the "abnormalities" around me, such as the participants in the tavern, the notices on the streets, and even the smell in the air. This kind of "immersive" reading experience is particularly good. I have added this book to my collection and will continue to read more.

The suspenseful atmosphere of the foggy city is particularly well created. From the mixed smell when you first wake up, to the Ripper notices posted on the streets, to the depressing atmosphere in the tavern, every detail is foreshadowing the "sense of danger." Later, when it was discovered that the Ripper imitated the clown's techniques, it added an extra layer of twist to the plot. The original "hunter" suddenly became the "object of observation". This kind of tension is particularly high. I can't wait to know the follow-up development.

Although the fragmented information fed back by the Eye of True Sight is small, it is enough to piece together a clear outline: violent, sadistic, simple-minded, immersed in the underlying logic of the jungle, and actively trying to open a business here.

It can be said that it's not good enough at all. It's really pretty.
