What moved me most was the fragility and rebirth of the Destiny Man after he lost his Golden Cudgel. The tenacity of climbing up from the bottom resonated particularly well. The author writes about the struggle between gods and demons with a human touch. Every character has flesh and blood. Even the Bone Lady's cold appearance hides a heartbreaking past.
