On the day I registered for university, I secretly read the faces of every girl in my department.
Only hers was impossible to decipher: her fate was yin, yet yang energy clung to her. Her glabella was dark, but a ruddy glow flickered through it.
Late that night, she suddenly called me. “Help me! Someone’s carving my birth characters under my dormitory bed...”
I rushed into the women’s dorm with my cinnabar brush. Seven coffin nails lay scattered on the floor, arranged into a sinister formation to alter someone’s fate.
When I looked up, she smiled and peeled off her own face. “I’ve waited a hundred years for you, Fatekeeper.”
"The Painting of Talisman" is my attempt to blend the modern campus with the ancient mystical monsters. The protagonist Xu Mo's identity as the "life-suppressing person" is like a key, gradually unveiling the veil of the strange world - the secret contract, the corpse analysis, the knife loaner... Every suspense is intertwined. The entanglement of Su Yao's fate and the bloody mystery are the hooks throughout, and the daily sense of Beishan University reflects the turbulent undercurrent. In the creation, we strive to be logically self-consistent, and the elements such as talismans and underworld are examined in detail, striving to make readers immersed in the scene. The disadvantage is that the branch line is a bit complicated, but the main line is full of tension. I look forward to the follow-up development!
