Ember Crow, the "Mist Man" in the Iron Dome settlement, was forced to accept the Scroll Keeper's deal because his sister was assimilated by the bone-corroding fog - sneaking into the Star Marrow Library to steal the "Oracle Fragments". Each floor of the museum is guarded by crazy scroll keepers, whose bodies have been fused with books and void tentacles. In the process of searching for the broken scroll, Ember Crow kept seeing distorted illusions of his sister, and even discovered that the scroll keeper was once a family seeker like him.
