The Fierce Wife and the Top Scholar

Su Tang, a modern military medic from the special forces, transmigrates into the body of a pitiable orphan in a small ancient village whom everyone can bully. Just as her wicked relatives force her to marry an old widower as his second wife, the frail scholar Lu Mingyuan steps in to save her and takes her out of misery with a marriage contract.

She thinks marrying a poor scholar means a life of hardship, but although her husband can barely lift a chicken, his mind holds a world of knowledge. Su Tang uses silver needles to heal the sick and her strength to crush her foes, delivering face-slapping to all manner of awful relatives. Lu Mingyuan plans each step carefully, rising from a poor student to the top scholar in the imperial examinations.

Together, the couple overcome every challenge, one relying on strength to counter cunning and the other on intellect to outmaneuver their enemies. They face open and hidden threats in the village, the county school, the prefecture, and even the capital, ultimately becoming a powerful minister and his fierce wife who protects her husband.
