A new story is here. Lin Mo (protagonist): A first-year university student who looks almost exactly like Zhang Qiling. He has a Qilin tattoo and a mysterious black-gold ancient saber. Extremely aloof and sparing with words, he is nevertheless extraordinarily capable. A mysterious government agency takes notice of him and hires him as a “special consultant” for this operation.
Yong Quan (comic relief 1): A fellow student and archaeology enthusiast with an extremely over-the-top personality. He can’t walk past anything remotely old without stopping, and is always shouting “National treasure!” “Priceless treasure!” and “Open up!” In reality, he often gets things wrong and makes a fool of himself. He likes hogging the spotlight and showing off during livestreams, but it always backfires.
Liu Ruyan (snarky commentator / minor antagonist): A top-performing senior student or classmate, proud and arrogant. She deeply resents Lin Mo’s sudden arrival and the attention he gets, and often questions him, only to be proven wrong by his unintentional actions.
Ma Dahua (comic relief 2): Another student, honest and simple-minded, with an odd way of thinking, great strength, and courage that comes and goes. She is Yong Quan’s straight man and “useless teammate,” often pushing his attempts to show off into even more ridiculous territory. She loves food and worries that the air in the tomb might be poisonous and ruin her appetite.
Professor Wu (veteran archaeologist): The team’s instructor and an academic authority. Gentle but a bit of an old child, he is curious about the unknown and one of the few people who recognizes Lin Mo’s abilities. That’s what drives me to write. I’ll do my best to tell every story well!
