Part One, Nezha: Roots, Civilization, and Crossing Worlds: From Awakening to Symbiosis (288 chapters)
The Hunyuan mark on Nezha’s chest is only half of a broken seal. When the Yin-Yang Rift tears open Domain Zero, the descendants of the ancient Witches, asleep for ten thousand years, open their eyes, while gods from other realms cross into this world. Deeper still, the deep-sea descendants, the Jiaozhu, use memory conchs to awaken a rewritten history, and Mo Tong, a twelve-year-old boy, uses a broken brush to continue writing the truth that was burned away. From awakening one’s roots to the convergence of civilizations, from symbiosis in the waters to setting history straight, from symbiosis across worlds to the unification of all spirits. Fourteen mortals and fourteen tokens come together in the Myriad Spirits Symbiosis Formation to reveal the ultimate maxim: “As long as mortals do not forget, the universe will never perish.”
But the aftershocks of the Myriad Spirits Formation have not faded. They have opened a rift in the heavens leading to a higher dimension.
Part Two, Nezha: Chronicles of the Thirty Heavens (240 chapters)
Thirty layers of heaven, thirty guardians, thirty forgotten obsessions. Nezha evolves from “guardian” to “one who understands,” facing the Yin-Yang Rift of the Shadow Lord in the Origin Heaven, gazing upon the Abyss Lord’s withered sprout in the Source Heaven, and confronting ownerless nothingness in the Heaven of Meaning. The Fire-Tipped Spear goes from covered in cracks to united with the Dao weapon. The Hunyuan entropy value falls from 100 to 0, then is held fast by the obsessions of mortals. When all thirty tokens burn at once in the final chapter, the ashes do not form a full stop. They spell out: “Above the Dao weapon, there is still room left blank.”
The two parts form a complete 528-chapter story. Either part can be read on its own, while reading both delivers a sweeping, panoramic experience. The obsessions of mortals are the universe’s strongest law.
“Gods protect the universe; mortals protect the gods.”
