The Fortune-Teller Said I Was Bad Luck for My Family. I Became the Imperial Preceptor Instead

My mother believed a fortune-teller who said my fate was so harsh it would bring disaster to my family. She abandoned me in a mass grave and left me to fend for myself.

Ten years later, someone from the Su family of the capital suddenly came, saying their young lady was gravely ill and needed the blood of her biological sister as medicine.

I smiled as I entered the Su residence, watching them eagerly draw my blood.

No one knew that the master who raised me was the greatest practitioner of occult arts in the sect.

Even fewer knew that the so-called illness was a curse I had cast myself.

“Mother,” I said softly, “will this blood be enough to repay you for giving birth to me?”

Before I could finish speaking, Miss Su suddenly screamed from her sickbed, horrifying beads of blood seeping through her skin.

My mother stared at me in terror. “What have you done to her!”

I stroked the wound on my wrist and smiled. “I’ve only taken back the years of life your daughter stole from me.”
