[Synopsis]
Xie Yunshu awoke from an endless, pitch-black abyss and realized with shock that she had returned to a hundred years earlier. Her soul had possessed the body of a woman from the Xuantian Sect who had long since died: the White Moonlight whom Venerable Xiao Jue had carved into his heart and never forgotten for a hundred years.
Everyone said that Venerable Lingyuan, Xiao Jue, loved her with all his heart. They said that Xie Yunshu had been pure and flawless, that she had died saving him, and that her death was a pain he could never heal, a permanent crack in his Dao heart, and an emptiness he could not fill, no matter how far he searched the Nine Provinces or how many counterfeit doubles he found.
But Xie Yunshu alone knew that the so-called “sacrifice” had been nothing but a complete and utter conspiracy. And the Venerable who seemed to have nearly gone mad from longing for her might just have been the hand that pushed her into the abyss.
Reborn, she wore a mask of innocent amnesia and concealed the icy hatred in her eyes. She returned to his side, becoming the canary he carefully caged in his palm, the peerless treasure he had lost and regained.
He showered her with boundless affection, consumed by possessiveness and obsession, and offered her everything under heaven in hopes of atoning. Yet beneath his tender, suffocating embrace, she quietly wove a web of revenge, advancing step by step and painstakingly unraveling the truth.
Just as the cold gleam of the truth was about to pierce the mask of false devotion, Xiao Jue pinned her ruthlessly to a seat of ice and jade. His eyes held madness and anguish enough to destroy the world. “A Shu, your heart beats for me, and my mark is carved into your very bones and blood. Tell me, what is it you truly want?”
Xie Yunshu lifted her head, the corners of her lips curving into the same pure, innocent smile she had worn years ago. But her words dripped with poison: “Didn’t Your Venerable say you would place everything before me...”
