Help! I've Thrown Journey to the West Off Course

Lin Xiaoman, a modern office drone and die-hard Monkey King fan, wakes up to find herself in the world of Journey to the West! Seeing the living, breathing face of the hairy, thunder-god-mouthed hero before her, she lets out a mental scream: “My idol! And he's real!” But she knows the Journey to the West storyline inside out. She watches as demons, one after another, try to seduce Tang Sanzang or eat him, only to end up dead, injured, or recruited as laborers. Her heart aches for them. So the pilgrimage takes a wild turn: The heroine chases after the Monkey King with one hand, calling, “Great Sage, give me an autograph!” With the other, she stops the demons mid-rant: “Sisters and brothers! Wake up! Is a mouthful of Tang Sanzang's meat worth betting your whole demon life on? Demons without powerful backing are doomed to be cannon fodder! Become kings of your own mountains instead. Hot pot, barbecue, cold beer, and total freedom. Doesn't that sound great?” With the Heavenly Dao loophole granted by her otherworldly soul and her gift for talking nonsense, she successfully steers the Journey to the West down a ridiculous new path. The gods can't divine what's going on, and the Buddha furrows his brow. Where did this troublemaking girl come from?! As for the Monkey King, watching this strange woman who circles around him all day but keeps talking demons into “innovating and starting businesses in the demon world,” his fiery golden eyes show, for the first time, a mixture of confusion and interest... This is a ridiculous story about a fan who transmigrates to chase her idol and, along the way, helps “demons” find a better life. See how the heroine takes the Journey to the West by storm, steals her dream man, and finally returns to the modern world with him to write their own love story!
