Edge: Twin Undercover Drug Agents

He is Lu Chenzhou, an elite undercover operative who once infiltrated a drug den. But after being labeled a “problem officer” for “breaking the rules,” he is transferred to the city’s anti-narcotics squad, carrying unhealed scars and a past no one understands. He is Shen Zhiyan, a technical expert parachuted in from the provincial department. His data analysis has helped crack one major case after another, but he has never set foot at a real crime scene and is dismissed as a “keyboard warrior.”

One transfer order forces a sharp-edged field operative and a cool-headed tech specialist to work together. At their first assignment, in a high-speed rail station, they go from clashing head-on to unexpectedly complementing each other. Lu Chenzhou identifies drug dealers through their microexpressions, while Shen Zhiyan uses data streams to intercept their contact. Then the dealers suddenly utter the three words “White-Faced Buddha,” like a key that unlocks the vast drug network hidden in the city’s shadows.

A battle against drug traffickers fought at the cost of their lives, and a path to redemption that leads from opposition to standing side by side. Amid a hail of bullets and a maze of data, their edge will emerge, two blades honed to strike together.
