This is a story that deeply embeds metaphysics in a modern urban setting. Here, the ancient law of fate still secretly governs the rise and fall of top figures, and a young Taoist nun from a mountain Taoist temple has to break into the prosperous world and deal with wealthy families in a seemingly outrageous but metaphysical way of "recognizing relatives". She uses her wisdom and means to change the fate of her four godsons who are "too old" to defy fate.
