A hundred years ago, the nuclear explosions and biochemical weapons of the "End War" wiped out the old world civilization, and the earth's surface became a wasteland occupied by radiation, mutant beasts and crazy AI. The survivors huddled in huge "underground refuge cities" or "settlements" on the ground, relying on pre-war technology and crude prosthetics to survive. Power is controlled by the governors of the major "refuge cities", the "Prosthetic Corporation" that monopolizes technology, and the "Predator Order" with chaotic beliefs.
