Don’t Cultivate!

[Chinese-Style Cthulhu + Esoteric Cultivation + Sequences + Travel Between Two Worlds] “I dreamed of becoming an immortal cultivator, and then I really did start dreaming.” I’m Chen Kai, an overworked office drone who transmigrated into a bizarre world of immortal cultivation while asleep. There are no cheat powers, no System, only A mortal village where cultivating immortality is forbidden The shadow of a “weird” tide that devours human brains When he discovers that objects from the real world can be brought into his dreams, while cracks from those dreams begin appearing in reality... At the deepest part of the pagoda, there is no Buddha shrine, only a human skin that is still smiling. That skin belonged to the bhikkhu who first “became a Buddha.” At first, Chen Kai thought he had merely had a strange dream. When good people are pointed out, and everything starts getting interesting. The children reading A History of the Age of Prosperity aloud in Xiwang Village’s square all turned their faces toward him at once. Through their rotting eyeballs, they whispered to him across the fluorescent lights of the present world: “All who harbor blasphemous thoughts must be forgotten. You, why are you still alive?” “Don’t cultivate immortality. It’s a dead end. Turn back while you still can.” Standing atop the ruins of civilization, Chen Kai spoke softly to all living beings.
