In search of his younger sister Xiaoyu, who disappeared three years ago, Chen Mo takes up residence at a funeral home on the verge of closing, only to stumble into a strange incident connected to Longevity Pharmaceuticals. Around his left wrist is a red cord with a copper coin, soaked in his sister’s blood. It is his only link to her, and the key to unlocking his special abilities.
One stormy night, Chen Mo receives a mysterious order. After coming into contact with a strange ice coffin marked Number 7, he accidentally awakens the Yin Eye skill, which lets him see the obsessions of the dead and analyze supernatural clues. He also unlocks System missions. From then on, he faces one danger after another, including a wronged bride who died young and corpses controlled by their obsessions. The copper-coin cord and the Yin Eye become his lifelines.
The central conflict revolves around protection and redemption. In its pursuit of an “elixir of immortality,” Longevity Pharmaceuticals recklessly conducts human experiments. Xiaoyu’s heart has become the crucial vessel for cultivating the “Wisteria King,” hidden in the Blood Moon Laboratory on the funeral home’s third basement level. The company also swaps cremated remains and creates Wisteria Emissaries in an attempt to cover up its crimes and achieve immortality.
Joined by the blind girl Su Wan, Lin Feng, a descendant of the funeral home’s caretaker, and Aunt Hong, a contracted spirit, Chen Mo uses abilities unlocked by the Yin Eye, including “Tracing Obsessions” and “Communicating with the Dead,” to find five letters from the deceased, unravel the secrets of the Blood Moon Gate, and fight the Wisteria Emissaries and the Wisteria King. He must protect Xiaoyu’s heart from being taken by the company and expose its crimes. In the end, he hopes to awaken his sister and win justice for all those killed by the experiments. The Yin Eye’s continual evolution becomes his greatest power in fighting the darkness and bringing about redemption.
