The setting is novel and unique, and the writing is good, but the characters are unfortunately hollow. I feel that the author is more suitable for writing science fiction novels.
That is, the characters are like puppets that advance the plot. For example, when Xiaoya took the initiative to join the protagonist group. Is she scared? Confused? What about everyone else? Are you worried about her safety? Are you surprised by her courage? Will you suspect that she is holding back? It's a pity that these are not written down.
