One car crash, one lifetime of reincarnation. When modern young man Li Zihao opened his eyes again, he found himself back in 1975, a poor young man in a remote mountain village in Northeast China, with nothing to his name and both parents dead.
With an empty home, the constraints of the work-point system, and the cold stares of those around him, survival became his first priority. Just as he was on the verge of despair, an accident while searching for food in the mountains led him to rescue a strange wolf cub with a coat of pure silver and eyes glimmering green.
From then on, man and beast were bound together by fate. Drawing on bits of outdoor knowledge from his previous life, a hazy recollection of the broad sweep of history, and the extraordinary senses, danger warnings, and treasure-finding skills of his spiritual little companion, Li Zihao took up his family's old hunting rifle and resolutely entered the vast and dangerous primeval forest.
From solitary adventures to building a team, from sneaking around to seizing the pulse of the times, he hunted ferocious beasts, gathered mountain delicacies, and made close friends, all while facing the schemes of red-eyed villains and the upheavals of changing policies.
See how Li Zihao and his loyal battle companion brave the turbulent currents of a great era, tread thorny paths, discern danger and fortune, and hunt down wealth and opportunity, as he writes a passionate life story that takes him from a poor mountain boy to a legendary hunter and guardian of the forest!
