Luoyun Sect's Sword Peak has always been renowned throughout the Eastern Region for its chilling sword aura and its disciples' drive to excel.
Yet, of all things, this peak has raised one such oddball.
The sun is already high in the sky. Sunlight filters through scattered clouds, lazily spilling across a soft patch of grass behind Sword Peak. Beside the grass leans an old pine, its gnarled branches casting a broad patch of shade. A bamboo lounge chair sits beneath it, with someone curled up on the seat. A standard-issue Luoyun Sect blue robe, faded from washing, lies carelessly over his body. A book covers his face, concealing most of it; only his chin, bearing a distinctly drowsy air, and his chest, rising and falling with each steady breath, are visible.
His faint snores carry a hint of rhythm, blending subtly with the mountain breeze and the whispering pines.
Were it not for his sect uniform, anyone would take him for a mountain woodcutter stealing a nap in the middle of a busy day.
