Introduction to "The Prequel of Yitian"
This book inherits the aftertaste of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" and serves as a prequel to "The Legend of the Dragon Slayer". Guo Xiang first met Yang Guo at Fenglingdu and searched for the Condor Heroes, but could not succeed. Inheriting Guo Jing and Huang Rong's legacy of "protecting the people and resisting the Yuan Dynasty", he took the Yitian Sword and embarked on the road to find the Dragon Slaying Knife.
She traveled across the south of the Yangtze River and the north of the desert, and became obsessed with He Zudao, the head of Kunlun, for the rest of her life. The two searched for the sword together, but were repeatedly instigated by the Yuan court's "shadow" and plotted against Cheng Kun. Later, she established a sect in Mount Emei and recruited Fengling and other disciples. She wanted to use Emei as the foundation to fight against the Yuan Dynasty. However, rumors were spread about the Ming sect that it "hurts the people and seizes food," and the master-disciple relationship gradually developed with Fengling.
Although Yang Dingtian brought the Mingjiao to help search for the sword, it was difficult to overcome the sect's misunderstanding; He Zudao regretted that he died of illness, and Guo Xiang never saw the true face of the Dragon Sword. Before his death, he still told him to "unite the Mingjiao to fight against the Yuan Dynasty", but the gap between Emei and the Mingjiao remained.
The whole book takes Guo Xiang's regret of "looking for a knight all his life but never returned from slaying the dragon" as the main line. It not only completes the journey of the Condor Heroine, but also foreshadows the secrets of the Yitian Sword, the inheritance rules of Emei, and the wandering dragon-slaying knife, linking the chivalrous context of two generations of martial arts legends.
