The story revolves around the "Split Mirror Investigation Bureau" - an independent private reasoning team that constantly takes over various difficult cases in the city. They have experienced unsolved cases, contingency and trust games inside and outside the team, and truth confrontations in transnational cases. Behind every case is a battle between society, human nature and one's own heart. The clues between the cases lead to each other, and the members each face vulnerability and growth, and finally jointly uncover the huge truth hidden in the shadow of the city. Multiple storylines focus on the investigation process, personal fate and team relationships, and progressively expand to the revelation of large dark forces.
