Reality is not as solid as it seems. It is just a fragile film, a shallow consensus built on the collective consciousness of humanity. Beneath this membrane surges a chaotic dimension of our deepest fears, forgotten memories, unrealized nightmares, and endless anxieties—the Echoing Abyss.
Now, that membrane is cracking.
The Echo Eclipse is a slow-moving nightmare. It begins with trivial strange things: items are inexplicably misplaced, an uninhabited whisper rings in the ear, and the familiar environment flashes with an unsettling distortion. Most people choose to ignore it, blaming it on fatigue or delusion. But they were wrong.
This is erosion. Reality is being penetrated and corroded by the abyss beneath it. In places of emotional trauma, forgotten desolations, or moments of extreme personal vulnerability, the rules of reality begin to break down. The physical space is distorted and folded, time passes abnormally, memories are contaminated and tampered with, and your senses become lies that betray you.
What seeps out from these cracks is the reverberation body - a twisted existence condensed from pure negative emotions and broken consciousness. They have strange shapes and are living nightmares, imitating, whispering, corroding, and hunting those who perceive the truth or are unfortunate enough to be involved in it.
In this world, the greatest terror does not come from external monsters, but from within. Fear itself attracts them, and reason is the last fragile line of defense. The mainstream of society knows nothing about this or denies it. The survivors are isolated and paranoid.
